Third Round of Strategic High Impact Leadership for Health (SHIL) Training Successfully Concluded

The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Ethiopian Prosthetic and Orthotic Service (EPOS), has successfully concluded the third round of the Strategic High Impact Leadership for Health (SHIL) training program. The training, organized for the institution's senior and middle-level leaders, was held in Adama City.

During the closing session, Mr. Biruk Negash, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ethiopian Prosthetic and Orthotic Service, urged participants to translate the knowledge and skills they acquired during the training into practical action to enhance the institution's overall performance. He encouraged them to build on the strengths identified throughout the program, share their knowledge and experiences with colleagues, serve as role models, and make meaningful contributions to institutional transformation.

Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Gemu Tiru, Head of the Health Equity and Leadership Improvement Desk at the Ministry of Health, emphasized that the training was both timely and highly valuable. He noted that, beyond strengthening leadership competencies, the program focused on promoting evidence-based decision-making, leading institutional change, enhancing teamwork, and developing the next generation of leaders. He further encouraged participants to put the knowledge they gained into practice through institutional projects and day-to-day operations, thereby contributing to the realization of the institution's vision.

The participants also stated that the training introduced them to new ideas, strengthened their leadership competencies, and established a solid foundation for the successful implementation of future institutional initiatives.
